So it all started at work on the call floor. I saw Brooke from across the room looking SO hot in her blue basketball shorts and a grey t-shirt...she was looking like a model. (actually, I felt like a mess) I knew I had to meet her, so one day I acted like I was going to get a drink at the drinking fountain which was right next to where she was sitting...(He was SO smooth) Intros were made and we couldn't resist sitting next to each other. Between phone calls we would flirt it up (I just thought he was flirting cause everyone thought he was the call floor player... Sice all the girls wanted him) We overcame all obstacles and had out first date at Happy Sumo. We will never forget our Haunted house date, (he soo planned that one...and i loved it ;) ) our romantic Mamma Chews date with rose pettles covering her seat, (SOOO cute!!!) After many awesome dates, i planned an especially fun date. All I needed was starbursts, a beautiful view at Squaw peak, and music. (I didn't even see it coming) Before she knew it, she had her first kiss (It was INDESCRIBABLE!!!) Boyfriend and girlfriend was our new title. (Yep, he was my FIRST boyfriend AND first kiss!!! Cute, huh?!?!) We both knew the time would come. I was going to move home before my mission and it was hard to tell Brooke that I was leaving early and to break things off so she could have the chance to date other guys. (I cried and cried and cried) Even though I was in Colorado living at home and she was in Utah going to school, we still strengthened our relationship over the phone. We talked for HOURS every night. We talked till our phones died or till we fell asleep. (We BOTH didn't want to hang up the phone!) (I was heartbroken when he broke things off completely even though I knew he was doing it for me.) While I was on my mission, Brooke would occasionally write and would never be mushy. her letters always ended in "Have a nice day" No heart or "Love Brooke" (I didn't show it, but i would be SOO happy and giddy whenever I received a letter from Elder Meyer, and couldn't stop writing him even though i tried!) I got home and one of the first things I did was add Brooke on Facebook. (Ill never forget the SURGE of happy emotions I felt!!) We exchanged numbers again and Brooke said I had a cute spanish accent. (he did!!!) We again talked for hours and hours while I recuperated from knee surgery. (he promised to come out as SOON as he could drive with his knee again. It was taking FOREVER.) I told her sister, Beth to pretend to set her up on a blind date and then I drove out and totally surprised her! (I never saw it coming. I remember walking outside my apartment trying to find my date and seeing a guy with a hat on come close. Yep...it was him!!!!) Brooke couldn't hold back and ran into my arms and smothered me with kisses. We then had our second "first" kiss. (It was just as good as the first ;) time went by and we had our ups and downs in our relationship. After Brooke prayed for hours whether to get married or go on a mission, she kept feeling better about a mission. (ya gotta do what the spirit says!!) The time came and she left me to leave for Budapest Hungary. we wrote a ton in the MTC and continued writing for a about six months and then the writing stopped completely (I had to focus and was extremely nervous that we would stay in touch and I would still be head over heals for him but then never receive that powerful "go for it" answer I was looking for....so I almost took the easy road and avoided and forgot about our love altogether!! BAD idea!!! I truly loved him and thought about him and prayed for him EVERY day of my mission!!) i had no idea what would happen when she got home and didn't hear from her at first. Finally, I'll never forget being in the gym and getting a short message from her on Facebook! I actually yelled for joy...out loud. (it was my Dads inspired idea to invite him to my homecoming...I was hesitant because what if he was married or in a relationship? I did NOT want to get hurt since I knew I loved him) we chatted over Facebook and I finally got her number and she called me. We had our third first date at a frozen yogurt place (my favorite) and it was done. We have seen eachother EVEY day since! Not one day has gone by where we have not see each other. In fact, the very next day my parents happened to be here from colorado for my great-grandmas birthday and suprisingly, when Brooke found out, she was so excited to meet them! The day after that, i went to her homecoming talk and the next day was monday the 14th, valentines day! We had our third first kiss on valentines day at Ensign peak, looking out over a gorgeous view with a surprise picnic in the back of my truck. (it was PERFECT. he knows me SOO well, he brought ALL my favorite foods!) the rest is history! (SOO....to sum it up; we met in 2006 right after I graduated he went on his mission from 07-09. I left on my mission from aug 2009- feb 3,
2011 and had our first date exactly one week after on feb 10th, then we were engaged march 7th, and happily married April 22nd.) yay!
